A concert in which Baroque music meets what is today known as Swedish folk music, two genres which are nearer each other than one might imagine, seeming to be two voices with closely related music roots. Both types of music emphasise the beat and come from dance music, with similar phrasings and ornamentation. Baroque polska blend with chorals and dance movements by Bach, and a solo polska for nyckelharpa, reminiscent of a gamba sonata, leads directly to one of the great organ works by Bach.

Gunnar Idenstam, pipe organ, Johan Hedin, nyckelharpa.
